Hi Sophie, thank you so much for this, it really resonates with me. I'm french but somehow was living in the UK for 4 years and 2 years ago I've basically taken the same leap of faith as you did 6 months ago as moved to Paris and quit my job and instead of looking for another one (which would have been sensible) I've decided to finally have a try at my childhood dream and try to become an interior designer (and working for myself cause I'm delusional enough to think I can fulfill my dream to both change career and stop working for someone else at once)

Anyway, not to say I'm coming from the future but I wanted to let you know being delusional still feels worth it 2 years down the line. I felt a pang in my heart when reading your words about being unsure then relief when you stated you're not ready to go back to a realistic era (if there even exist) so for what it's worth, a stranger with a (kinda) similar life to you and also in Paris is encouraging you to continue.

Oh and if you'd ever be interested in linking up irl and not be strangers, I'd love to get a chance to chat as I genuinely felt so many similarities with our lives when reading this article (I may have gasped at the Brittany picture and thought to myself "attends mais c'est la Bretagne ça!!" as a born and raised bretonne). Whatever you decide, I wish you the very best life in Paris and looking forward to reading you again soon!
